Jaisalmer Fort - The structural puzzle

  Jaisalmer Fort, a monument of architectural delight, is one of India's best known forts in the heart of the city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. It is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan, built in 1156 by the Bhati Rajput ruler, Rawal Jaisal. This magnificent fortress is made of yellow sandstone which spreads in golden hues during the day and gives it the title of Golden Fortress or Sonar Quila.   This fort stands 80 meters high on Trikuta Hill and is famous for its fortification walls up to 30 feet high. It has 99 bastions which have been used as weapon platforms.
